Tipperary's hurlers will travel to Sixmilebridge this coming Sunday to face Clare in their first outing of the year.
The All-Ireland finalists won through to the Waterford Crystal Cup Quarter-Final on Friday night, beating Mary Immaculate College.
They will now take on Clare in the pre-season competition for the fourth consecutive year.
In the other Waterford Crystal Cup games this weekend, Waterford beat Limerick IT and Cork had a goal to spare over UL.
Clare continued their preparations with a comprehensive challenge win over Munster club champions Kilmallock.
Elsewhere, in football's McGrath Cup, Tralee I-T will face UCC following respective wins over Kerry and Limerick.
Cork will play Waterford after they saw off the challenges of Tipperary and Cork I-T.
