Ireland prepare to get 2015 Six Nations campaign underway

It won't be a Roman Holiday for Ireland today, who begin the defence of their Six Nations title away to Italy. 

Flanker Sean O'Brien plays his first Test since November of 2013, and his captain Paul O'Connell says he's  delighted to see the Tullow Tank back.

Kick off at the Stadio Olimpico is at 2.30. 

Scotland face a real test of their revival under Vern Cotter, taking on France in Paris at 5. 

Last night saw England come from 16-8 down at the break to beat Wales 21-16 in the opening game of this season's Six Nations. 

A Jonathan Joseph try, and 8 second half points from George Ford saw Stuart Lancaster's side come away with the win.

 

Also last night, Ireland's women began their Six Nations campaign with a 30-points to 5 defeat of their Italian counterparts. 

While the men's Under 20's ran in seven tries in a 47-15 win over the young Italians.
