Fitzgerald: No panic in Clare camp

Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald says he won't be panicking despite the Banner's second successive National League defeat.

A dominant second half display from Cork saw them secure a 1-24 to 0-17 win at Pairc Ui Rinn last night, with Clare failing to score from play in the final 20 minutes.

The Rebels led at half time by 1-12 to 0-12, with Luke O'Farrells 21st minute goal the difference between the sides.

Clare are now facing a battle to retain their Division 1A status, but Fitzgerald says he's hopeful his side can improve ahead of their next outing against Tipperary in two weeks time

The action in Division 1A continues this afternoon

After both sides recorded opening round wins, Kilkenny and Dublin meet at Nowlan Park.

Elsewhere, Tipperary will look to get back on track after their defeat to Dublin, when Galway visit Semple Stadium.

Both of those get underway at 2pm

In Division 1B,

Offaly and Wexford are both looking to maintain their winning starts when they meet at O'Connor Park

While Antrim and Limerick are looking to get on the boards at Ballycastle.

Pauric Mahony was Waterford's talisman last night, firing 1-14 in the Deise's 3-21 to 0-12 defeat of Laois.
