Clondegad not getting carried away after knocking champions Cratloe out of Clare SFC

The manager of the Clondegad side who dethroned the Clare Senior Football Champions says they're not getting carried away with their win over Cratloe.

A second half Podge McMahon goal helped them claim a 1-12 to 0-11 win, ensuring Cratloe's name won't be on Jack Daly this year for the first time since 2012.

Clondegad boss Michael Hehir says they're just focused on the last four

In that semi final, they'll take on Cooraclare, after a late Thomas Donnellan point saw them beat O'Curry's by 1-11 to 1-10.

It's the second year in a row that the Sky Blues are in the last four, having lost to Cratloe at that stage last year.

This was the third championship game the west Clare side have won by the minimum, and forward Rory Donnelly says they'll gladly keep that trend going.

St Breckans will go in search of their first county final appearance since 1996 after getting the better of Kilrush in their last eight clash.

Selector Neil Hawes was pleased with the result

They'll take on Miltown in the last four, after they survived a late surge from Ennistymon to seal a 1-13 to 0-13 win.

Manager Michael Neylon says when the need was greatest his side rose to the challenge.

Those semi finals are down for decision in two weeks time.
