Predictions Of Tight Encounters Ahead Of Weekend’s Hurling Action

Sixmilebridge boss John O'Meara is predicting a tight encounter this weekend when they face Crusheen in the county hurling semi final.

The 2013 champions failed to make it beyond the group stages last year, but have responded by going through the league and championship unbeaten so far in 2015.

These sides met in the 2011 final when Crusheen came out on top, O'Meara is expecting another tough battle.

That game underway on Sunday in Cusack Park on Sunday at 1pm.

The weekends senior action gets underway on Saturday in the county grounds, when Clonlara meet Kilmaley in the other last four encounter.

Clonlara got the better of Clarecastle in the opening round but took a replay to do it, while they then beat neighbours O'Callaghans Mills and Newmarket en route to the last four.

Manager Sean Stack says his side have been steadily improving.

That game underway tomorrow evening at 5pm.
