REPORT: Clare Senior Hurling Championship Semi-final

Sixmilebridge boss John O'Meara says he was never concerned his side were letting the game slip during their semi final win over Crusheen.

Last years beaten finalists pounced for a goal either side of half time before adding a third midway through the half to set up what looked like a close finish.

The Bridge outscored their opponents by 1-5 to 0-2 in the final quarter to claim a 3-21 to 3-13 win, and O'Meara says that response was crucial

The weekends other semi final saw a dramatic finish as Domhnall O'Donovan pounced for another last gasp score to clinch a 3-11 to 0-20 draw.

Clonlara boss Sean Stack says he was expecting his side would have the quality to close out a tight encounter, but feels they will have to improve once more to progress the next day

Meanwhile Kilmaley boss PJ Kennedy said he was confident of providing Clonlara with a stern test as they made their bid for a first county final appearance since 2004.

He says their workrate was crucial

No details of the replay have been announced with the fixtures committee of Clare GAA set to meet this evening.
