Cooraclare To Contest Senior Football Final For First Time Since ’97

Cooraclare will contest the Clare Senior Football Final for the first time since 1997. 

The Sky Blues beat Clondegad by 4-10 to 2-13 to set up a final showdown with Miltown.

The west Clare men scored 2-5 in each half and manager Ger Lawlor said it was crucial they hit the ground running.

Meanwhile Miltown reached a first final in 24 years after they beat St Breckans by 2-7 to 0-7.

The goals came in either half from Eoin Cleary and Cormac Murray, Miltown boss Michael Neylon says they were the crucial scores.

Elsewhere this weekend, Corofin claimed the intermediate title after beating Kilmihil. meaning they make the jump to the senior ranks in 2016.
