The Rebels led 0-10 to 0-5 at the break, after Clare kicked the final two scores of the half to cut the gap.

After the restart, Cork took complete control outscoring their hosts by 0-13 to 0-3 until the final whistle.

The result means Cork face Waterford in the last four next week, while Kerry take Limerick after the Kingdom edged past Tipperary by 0-11 to 1-7.

Staying with football where a senior member of Colm Collins side is urging his team mates to continue improving as they bid for promotion in the Allianz National League Division Three.

Sunday's 11 point win over Westmeath leave the Banner joint second in the standings, level on points with Tipperary.

A win next weekend against Offaly would further that promotion drive, and Lissycasey's Joe Hayes says they must continue to challenge themselves.
