Cusack And Clare Cup Tables Starting To Take Shape

It was a busy weekend of local action with matches across both codes.

The tables in the Cusack and Clare Cups are starting to take shape.

In Division 1A of the Clare Cup, 4 teams remain unbeaten after the opening two rounds.

Defending champions Sixmilebridge beat Inagh/Kilnamona, Kilmaley got the better of O'Callaghans Mills, Clonara were winners over Whitegate, while Newmarket overcame Feakle.

Cratloe got off the mark for 2016, with Podge Collins' goal helping them beat Crusheen.

In football, Cratloe also got their first win of the Cusack Cup, with Conor McGrath among the goalscorers in their win over Eire Óg.

Kilmurry Ibrickanes push for a sixth straight title continued with an easy win over Ennistymon, Clondegad got the better of Lissycasey and Miltown edged past Doonbeg.

Another round of fixtures in both codes are pencilled in for next weekend, with the fixtures committee to meet tonight to finalise details.

Meanwhile, Corofin will represent Clare at the 2016 Feile Peil na nOg. 

They beat their North Clare neighbours St Breckans by 3-7 to 1-8 in the decider to seal their spot.
