Davy Admits Clare Could Easily Have Lost Out In League Final

Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald has admitted that his side could have easily lost out in their Allianz Hurling League final win over Waterford.

The Banner trailed by two points in the closing stages at Semple Stadium, before a Darach Honan point and two scores from Tony Kelly gave them victory.

It's the first time Clare have claimed the League title since 1978, but Fitzgerald admits it could have been very different.

Meanwhile, Clare's Colin Ryan says winning the Allianz league will provide a good boost for the Banner going into the Championship.

The Two counties meet again in the Munster Championship next month.

Ryan says winning the title is good but wasn't a absolute must.
