The Townies are managed this year by three time All Ireland U21 winning manager Gerry O'Connor, he says they've focused on developing the younger members of their squad.

Meanwhile the manager of the O'Callaghans Mills side says they have been severely hampered by injuries ahead of their opening round clash with Whitegate.

All Ireland winning captain Pat Donnellan is among the absentees for the Mills as he recovers from a cruciate knee injury.

Manager Kevin Sammon says they won't be looking for any excuses.
