Clare Senior Hurling Championship Opener Round 2 Draw

The draw for Round 2 of the Clare Senior Hurling Championship takes place this evening.

The last three champions will all be part of the losers round.

There could be some mouthwatering clashes in the losers rounds of this years championship.

Sixmilebridge, Cratloe and Newmarket on Fergus will all in that pot.

Joining them will be 2007 champions Tulla, Whitegate, Inagh/Kilnamona, Kilmaley and Ballyea.

These eight teams will be drawn against each other, with the losers facing a relegation battle and the winners having one more shot at a quarter final place.

The eight winners from round one will also playoff, namely Clarecastle, O'Callaghans Mills, Feakle, Crusheen, Clooney/Quin, Wolfe Tones, Clonlara and Eire Óg.

The winners here go straight to the quarter finals, with the losers facing the winners of the other pot for a place in the last eight.

The draw will get underway at Clare GAA HQ in Clareabbey this evening at 6.30pm
