Clare Camogie All Stars Prepare For All-Ireland Championship Opener

One of Clare's Camogie All Stars says they're using the example set by the county's hurlers as they prepare for the All Ireland Championship opener.

The Banner will take on Offaly this Saturday, bidding to get back to the knockout stages of the competition.

Clare missed out on the latter stages in 2015 in controversial circumstances, while 12 months previous they were just edged out by Galway in the last 8.

Sixmilebrige's Chloe Morey says there's a determination within the squad to reach the top table.

It throws in on Saturday evening at 5.15pm in Sixmilebridge.

Meanwhile, 

Ladies football and Camogie players have received a boost today with the announcement of government funding.

Five hundred thousand euro in 2017 and 2018, will be provided through Sport Ireland, to support programmes in both associations.
