2017 Senior Management Teams For Clare’s GAA Sides To Be Confirmed This Evening

The 2017 senior management teams for Clare's GAA sides will be confirmed this evening.

The October meeting of the board will see a new senior hurling management team ratified, while the football management are set to be reinstalled.

Tonight's meeting will see the Senior Hurling management of Donal Moloney and Gerry O'Connor being proposed to delegates for ratification to succeed Davy Fitzgerald in the role.

The 3 time All Ireland U21 winning duo are set to be joined by Donal Og Cusack in their backroom team, with the rest of set up to be confirmed later.

The minor hurling management is set to be headed up by Bodyke's Sean Doyle, while the new U21 management is to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Colm Collins is expected to be ratified as Clare football boss for the coming year, with his backroom team set to be finalised later.

Neil Hawes is set to remain on as U21 manager along with Martin Brennan and Donal Hanefin, while former All Star Seamus Clancy will be named as minor football boss.

Also on the agenda for tonights meeting is the proposals from the football review committee, among which is the suggestion that the senior football championship should be reduced from 16 teams to 12.

The meeting gets underway at Clare GAA's Centre of Excellence in Caherlohan from 8pm
