The Mid-West Simon Community says the social housing crisis has reached tipping point, with almost no rental property available to people receiving rent supplement or housing assistant payments.
It follows the release of the Simon Community's Snapshot Study of ten urban areas which has found there were over 11-hundred properties available to rent.

However, only 12% of those fell within the price limits of the state-funded housing support schemes.
The organisation is calling for an urgent review of the limits, which it says is forcing people onto the streets.
