The Central Bank's urging the Government not to be tempted by a giveaway budget – and to use any increasing revenues to pay down debt and save for any future downturn.
In it's latest quarterly forecast it's now predicting substantial improvements in growth in the Irish economy both this year and next.

And it says unemployment could fall to 8.5 per cent next year from around 9.7 per cent in 2015.
Chief Economist Gabriel Fagan says the Government needs to be careful when it comes to the budget.
