The White House says it believes reports of the death of Taliban leader Mullah Omar are 'credible'.
The Afghan government says he died in Pakistan in 2013.

Earlier, a spokesperson for the group had insisted that Omar was 'still alive and leading the movement'.
He hadn't been seen in public since 2001.
