Discussions will get underway today to finalise arrangements for a Clare TD to visit a detained Irish teenager in Egypt.
Pat Breen, who's the Chairman of the Oireachtas Foreign Affairs Committee, has been invited to visit Ibrahim Halawa who's been imprisoned in Cairo for almost two years after being arrested during protests in the capital.

It follows a number of requests by the group, and Deputy Breen says it will be an important visit.
