Residents in South-East Clare, who have opposed the planned construction of the new Limerick Northern Distributor Road there, have asked Clare County Council for clarity on the project's future.
It's after the road was overwhelmingly rejected by Limerick Councillors, even though it had already been supported in Clare and despite claims that it would be of huge significance to the region's economy.

Clare County Council is the lead agency on the project, and says it's now assessing the Limerick decision.
Clonlara Councillor Michael Begley thinks they need to revise their plans.
