An East Clare TD says funding for health services needs to be prioritised in the upcoming budget.
Michael McNamara made his comments after the HSE sought an additional 2 billion euro in funding to deal with increased costs next year.

The public expenditure Minister has dismissed the HSE's demands as "unrealistic", though it comes amid rising overcrowding in Irish hospitals, up 35 per cent at University Hospital Limerick last month.
Deputy McNamara is hopeful that increased government revenues will allow for services to be improved.
