Home Help services are seen as key in helping people stay in their homes, as opposed to residential facilities.

They also help keep people out of hospitals, and extra home help funding was announced earlier this year as part of a package to cut trolley waiting times.
However Fiacre Hensey, the General Manager of Clarecare who administer home help to hundreds of people throughout the county, say the effect of this was limited.
