Shannon Airport has been given the green light for a series of upgrade works to be carried out there.
Works will be carried out in the Airport's Arrivals Hall, as well as in the Transit Lounge and on some of its Departure Gates.

The works will result in the creation of nearly 50 square metres of new retail space, and all the works will be carried out 'airside' or past security checks.
Meanwhile a 21 million euro investment in Shannon Free Zone is being hailed as the next step on the road to recovery for the region.
