Pope Francis has become the first pontiff in history to address a joint meeting of the US Congress.
In his speech, he called on all countries – including the United States – to abolish the death penalty.

He also urged politicians to reject a 'mindset of hostility' on immigration – one of the key issues in the current American Presidential campaign.
