Repair works will begin next week on a West Clare bridge which was closed following flooding earlier this month.
Clonbony Bridge on the N67 Miltown to Lahinch Road was closed following heavy rainfall two weeks ago which led to structural damage at the base of one of the arches, making it unsafe for road users.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland, formerly the NRA, are due to begin repair works in the coming days but its expected to take up to four weeks to complete the project.
A number of inspections have been carried out and Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen says a solution has now been found.
