A Clare TD says work will be completed on 65 houses on in the county by the end of 2015 following a second round of funding from the Department of the Environment.
Pat Breen was reacting to comments by Fianna Fail Environment Spokesman Barry Cowan who said that 2,600 houses are lying idle across the country on account of a reduction in refurbishment funding, 58 of those in Clare.

Deputy Breen says Barry Cowan's information, which was received through freedom of information requests, is now out of date.
The Fine Gael TD says the 65 houses, once completed, will be go towards tackling the high number of people on the social housing list.
