A North Clare native, who works as a cardiologist at one of America's leading hospitals says the ambulance service here needs to be the focus of investment within the health service.
His comments come in light of a number of recent cases which have highlighted issues such as reduced staffing levels in the ambulance service here.

Dr Brian Griffin, who is an internationally respected cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic in the US, has been speaking at a conference in Limerick this week.
Dr Griffin says that a change in services, as has been the case here, needs to be coupled with a robust ambulance service that delivers patients in an efficient manner
