Shannon Company Says People Are Ignoring The Dangers Of Carbon Monoxide

A Shannon company says many people are ignoring the dangers of carbon monoxide.

It's calling on people to contact their local fire service once their carbon monxide alarm goes off as its an indication that the silent killer could be present in your home.

In the early hours of Friday morning an Ennis family were saved from a fire in the wall cavity of their home after contacting Clare's Fire and Rescue Service as a result of their carbon monoxide alarm going off.

But Technical Manager of EI Electronics in Shannon, Tom Meehan says not all people react in this manner, which he believes could lead to serious, if not fatal consequences.
