O'Connell Street in Ennis will be padestrianised for a number of days over the Christmas period.
The decision was made in the interest of padestrian safety on key shopping days, similar to the same period last year, however Clare County Council says the dates may be re-considered in the event of extreme weather conditions.

The closures include Saturday, December 19th from 12 noon to 6pm, Sunday the 20th from 2pm to 6 and Wednesdahy and Thursday December 23rd and 24th from noon to 6pm.
Free parking in council-run carparks will also continue from 2 to 6pm on Saturdays until the end of the year.
