It's hoped the Ennis/Limerick rail line won't be closed for a prolonged period of time.
The line was closed last evening as a result of flooding, and remains impassable today.

The flooding has occured to the North of Newmarket on Fergus, but not at Ballycar which has been an area where problems have occured in the past.
There's no indication as of yet on when full services will resume, and Irish Rail says bus transfers are in place
Irish Rail Spokesman Barry Kenny says the closure is unavoidable but he insists every effort is being made to re-open the line as soon as possible.
