The European Parliament has overwhelmingly backed a resolution calling for the release of Dubliner Ibrahim Halawa.
Ibrahim – who turned 20 last weekend – has been held without trial in Egypt for over two years.

MEPs voted 566 votes to 11, with 46 abstentions.
Ibramin's sister Somaia was in the European Parliament as the resolution was passed. She says it was amazing to see all those people standing up for humanity.
