A new study claims that over 20,000 Clare residents are facing into a cold Christmas.
The figures come in a study from the Unite trade union, who say that indications show around 700,000 people are facing fuel deprivation at some point during the year.

The union also say that the number of people facing fuel deprivation has trebled since 2007.
