Gardaí in Clare are urging road users to take all necessary precautions to ensure you arrive alive this Christmas.
Traditionally, there’s increased numbers travelling long distances during the festive period as people visit family and friends.

There’ll be increased Garda checkpoints on the county’s roads until January 6th, with officers on the look-out for drink drivers, those under the influence of drugs and people suffering with driver fatigue.
It’s all part of the Garda Christmas Road Safety Campaign and Sergeant Darragh Molloy of the Clare Garda Traffic Corps outlines the objective of the campaign.
