A new kidney clinic has opened its doors at Ennis General Hospital.
The unit, which provides diagnostic and treatment services to patients with expected kidney disease has been launched as part of UL Hospitals Group's efforts to expand servies across six hospitals in Clare, Limerick and Tiperary.

The clinic will work closely with General Practitioners in Clare and the care programme is closely linked with the Kidney Disease Programme at University Hospital Limerick, which coordinates the care programme for the region.
Professor Austin Stack, Chair of Medicine at UL Hospitals Group, says the new unit will give the people of Clare greater access to specialist treatments.
