The historic Loop Head Lighthouse is re-opening to the public today.
The popular tourist attraction attracted just under 27,000 visitors last year which represents a 32% increase on 2014 visitor numbers.

It will remain open every day until the 2nd of October between 10am and 6pm and will provide 8 jobs directly.
Aisling Connolly from Loop Head Tourism says they hope to grow numbers again this year and their position on the Wild Atlantic Way will be crucial to this.
