It's hoped that community childcare services in Kilrush will be restored by early April.
Parents and former staff of the West Clare Early Years Service, which closed last month met with representatives from Pobal on Friday to discuss proposals from two community organisations hoping to take over the provision of childcare services.

Pobal is meeting with both organisations today to inform them of the decision on who will run the service until such a time as a local managment company can be set up.
Sorcha Daly of the West Clare Community Childcare Group says parents are breathing a sigh of relief as a result of what she describes as the first positive step since the closure of the local West Clare Early Years service.
