Clare's Fianna Fáil Deputy has confirmed unpaid water charges would be pursued if the party is elected to government.
A report in today's Irish Independent says the party's plan, which could see the charges deducted from people's social welfare payments and salaries, is bringing it closer to the position of Fine Gael as talks on forming a government continue.

But, Timmy Dooley has denied the party has softened its stance or that it would bring it closer to a potential grand coalition with Fine Gael.
