Clare has recorded one of the lowest levels of road fatalities in the the country.
Figures released by the Clare Garda Traffic Corps show there were 2 fatal collisions in county in 2015 out of a total of 166 nationwide.

There were 8 accidents involving serious injury however and 84 where non-serious injuries occured, while there were 149 more "Material Damage Accidents" in 2015 than in 2014.
Chief Superintendent John Kerin says that while the latest figures are largely encouraging, there's no room for complacency among road users.
