56 people from across Clare are being honoured tonight for their efforts to help save lives.
They're among 180 blood donors in the region who will be presented with a Gold pin at the Irish Blood Transfusion Service's Awards Ceremony at the Greenhills Hotel in Limerick.

Blood stocks are currently low as a result of two bank holidays falling close together and an increased demand over that period.
Area Manager with the IBTS, Aileen Browne is urging people to make a donation, saying it can mean the difference between life and death.
