A Corofin-based GP is vowing pressure will be kept on any new government to ensure a promised package of support measures for doctors GPs is delivered on.
The package, which was unveiled before the election, is due to come on-stream on May 1st, but has yet to be ratified by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.

The Irish Medical Organisation's annual conference is taking place in Sligo this week, with access to GP services in rural areas, one the main issues being discussed while it's also believed the issue will be raised in ongoing government talks.
Dr. Fergus Glynn says he expects the pre-election promise to be delivered on.
