Clare Gardaí have moved to issue a clarification in respect of an item broadcast today on Clare FM's Morning Focus
In the item, it was stated by Gardaí that an investigation was being carried out into alleged illegal activity by a company named Special Branch Tree Services.

An Garda Síochána are satisfied that individuals have illegally used the name of Special Branch Tree Services for fraudulent purposes.
They are also satisfied beyond doubt that there has been no illegal activity by Special Branch Tree Services of Mr. Trevor McCarthy, operating from Drumline, Newmarket on Fergus, and that this is the only legitimate tree service company of that name operating in Clare and surrounding areas.
