Nurses here say overcrowding in our hospitals has reached crisis point.
They say the situation is so serious – its now time to cancel elective operations – to try and deal with the immediate backlog.

Figures show there was a 21% increase in overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick in March, with 710 people waiting for beds, up from 558 the same time last year.
While, there has been a rise in overcrowding again today with 40 patients waiting for beds, 24 of those in the emergency department.
General Secretary of the INMO Liam Doran says there has been a 100 percent increase in overcrowding at our coutry's hospitals since 2008.
