Diocesan Synod In Limerick

The first Diocesan Synod in Limerick in 50 years is taking place this weekend.

300 lay people and 100 bishops and priests will discuss proposals on the future of the Catholic Church in Ireland.

The Synod was called by the Bishop of Limerick, in order to best deal with challenges from the past and to meet new challenges in the future.

Bishop of Limerick Brendan Leahy, explains which issue gained most interest from people so far.
