Another week, another industrial dispute.

DART drivers are refusing to train in new drivers.

The National Bus and Rail Union say it's a decision for individual drivers to make.

But Barry Kenny from Irish Rail says the unions are orchestrating the block.

Iarnrod Eireann have threatened the NBRU and SIPTU with legal action.

General Secretary of the NBRU Dermot O'Leary though said unions don't respond well to threats.

Luas operator Transdev is meeting with ticket inspectors and control room staff this afternoon.

It's after Siptu called off this weekend's planned strike.

They've requested an urgent meeting with Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe who says he'll respond in good time.

It comes as we face a summer of discontent in the public service.

As well as issues with rail and Luas workers, Gardai, nurses, teachers and paramedics all have various issues with pay and conditions.

And it comes as we've hit day 53 without a government.

Labour's Willie Penrose says it's essential that we see some form of government soon.

Whoever does end up in power faces a raft of disputes from day 1.
