Intel says it has yet to decide which of its multiple plants worldwide will be affected by 12,000 job cuts.
The American chipmaker – one of Ireland's largest employers – has announced a restructuring programme aimed at making it less dependent on the personal computing market.

There are currently around 200 people employed at the company's facility in Shannon and some 5000 nationwide.
In a statement Intel Ireland says it can't provide site specific information as of yet – but that the global job losses are expected to come in the form of voluntary and involuntary departures between now and mid 2017.
