A shortage of supply being cited as the major obstacle facing victims of domestic abuse who are trying to access social housing in Clare.
Kilrush Councillor Ian Lynch has sought to eliminate red tape which means a victim can't get accomodation when they co-own a home, even if that's with the abuser.

Denise Dunne from Clare Haven says the organisation works extensively with the local authority to expediate the sourcing of social housing for people who use their services.
She claims the main problem remains a lack of supply.
