Clare County Council has called for tough new laws to tackle so-called 'boy racers'.
Councillors have urged the government to give more powers to the Gardaí in a bid to curb the amount of dangerous driving on our roads.

Suggestions have included long-term driving bans of up to 20 years for those who drive recklessly, and even destroying cars which have been illegally modified.
