As the Bank Holiday weekend comes to a close, Clare Gardaí are urging motorists to play their part in reducing fatalities on our roads.
Additional checkpoints remain in place today with Gardaí on the look-out for speeding, drink driving, failure to wear your seat-belt and other motoring offences.

Officers are also specifically focusing on vehicles with defective tyres, with such an offence now attracting an 80 euro fine and two penalty points.
