Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD insists that honest policy holders shouldn’t have to foot the bill for fraudulent insurance claims.
Timmy Dooley is commenting in light of spiralling costs, which the Central bank has attributed to a number of factors including the increased number and scale of claims over the past year.

A Government review is being carried out and recommendations on the compensation framework are due to be submitted to the Finance and Transport Ministers in the coming weeks.
Deputy Dooley believes a fair compensation system is urgently needed.
