It's hoped that a disused jet plane's final journey from Shannon to Sligo will get underway on Thursday.
Funeral Director David McGowan bought a Boeing 767 jet plane from Shannon Airport for €20,000 in the hope of converting it into camping accomodation for holiday makers, close to the beach in Enniscrone.

His plans have been delayed on a number of occasions, most recently by a low tide earlier this week, but the plane is now on the back of an articulated truck and ready to be transported to Sligo.
The next attempt will be made at 5am tomorrow morning and David is appealling for locals to help out of they can.
