There's been a widespread welcome to the appointment of a new CEO by Shannon Group.
Englishman Matthew Thomas, formerly of Canadian airport operator Vantage, has been appointed on a five-year deal and is expected to take up the position in the coming weeks.

Shannon Chamber says Mr. Thomas' appointment will enable Shannon to build on its remarkable gains of recent years, while he's also been congratulated by Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, which is being sponsored by Shannon.
